Vector Control

Stagnant water is an easy breeding ground for mosquitoes. Certain areas of Mountain House Creek contain water all year, and although the water is not considered stagnant, the San Joaquin Mosquito and Vector Control District populates the wet ponds along the perimeter of the creek with Gambusia, a mosquito larvae-eating fish.
