Aerial of Wastewater Treatment Plant
The Mountain House Community Services District’s (MHCSD) will provide
wastewater collection, treatment and disposal systems to serve the entire
community. Approximately 80% of the service area will drain by gravity
to the treatment plant through a backbone collection system. The remaining
20% will be pumped to the treatment plant through lift stations and force
mains.
The tertiary treatment facilities will include aerated lagoons, activated
sludge, filtration, disinfection, effluent storage, and if necessary, interim
farmland or permanent golf course irrigation.
The design capacity of the treatment facility and all related components will be 5.4 MGD (average annual flow) at buildout. The treatment processes and facilities will be built in stages to appropriately serve one or more neighborhoods, as well as industrial/commercial and public uses.
